Kate Kitchen

KATE KITCHEN COMMUNICATIONS & CONSULTING was formed in Scottsdale, Arizona in 1995, the firm relocating to Greensboro, North Carolina in 2001. Principal Kate Kitchen is a career journalist, speaker and former corporate executive in marketing and public relations. She has extensive experience as a media spokesperson, media crisis manager/trainer and publicist, business manager and inspirational speaker (Christian and corporate).

A prolific writer, Kitchen has earned nearly 2,000 bylines in the past three decades. Since 2004, she has authored and published three books and currently has three in the works. Her feature articles have appeared in print throughout the U.S. with a concentration in health care, commentary and human interest profiles. Published works have appeared in: Arizona Republic/Sunday Magazine, San Diego Union/Sunday Features, Los Angeles Herald Examiner/Sunday Features, Alaska Woman, The Disciple, Resource Recovery and professional scientific and health-care journals. For ten years, she has been a columnist for The Macular Degeneration Partnership in Los Angeles and a researcher and investigative reporter for a stockbroker-dealer based in New York and San Francisco.

Kitchen is a Christian, corporate and civic speaker and as speechwriter has written hundreds of keynote addresses for government dignitaries and CEOs. As a publicist, she has promoted such celebrities as Stephen King, Rita Moreno, Sarah Brady, Jean-Michel Cousteau, Joseph Califano and Jacqueline Mayer, Miss America 1963. She has edited more than 20 manuscripts for fellow authors.

During a five-year post as system director of marketing and public relations (and media spokesperson) for the largest health-care conglomerate in Colorado, she served on the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and on several commissions appointed by the Mayor.
